KayCyy returns to drop another set of songs before his upcoming debut album, WHO IS KAYCYY?, titled GET USED TO IT (sometimes known as G U T I). The EP was released on June 3, 2022.

Following the release of TW20 50, on March 24, 2022, KayCyy announced on Twitter that three new songs off the album were ready to be released. On the same day, KayCyy revealed on Twitter the three songs that are expected to be on this EP. Those being “LOOK WHAT I FOUND” with Lancey Foux, “BORROW,” and “WIY.”

On April 13, 2022, KayCyy tweeted out the EP’s official title. Two days later on April 15, KayCyy took to Twitter for artists to come up with a cover art for the upcoming EP.

On May 1, 2022, KayCyy took to Twitter to reveal the first hint for the EP’s release. It features 27 people with G U T I merchandise, which leads up to 27 days in may, confirming that the release date could possibly be on May 27.

Three days later on May 3, KayCyy announced on Twitter that he had turned in the EP and it was finished, as well as announcing that a trailer for the upcoming EP was finished.

On May 6, 2022, KayCyy released the lead single to this EP, “BORROW,” after he had teased it multiple times through his Twitter page.

On May 16, 2022, KayCyy took to Twitter announcing his fans that he would be revealing the EP’s release date, as well as a new song preview. Hour later, KayCyy took to social media to reveal the EP’s official cover art, as well as a pre-save link.

On May 19, 2022, KayCyy revealed in a now-deleted Twitter post a nine track tracklist for the EP, which includes features from Lancey Foux, 070 Shake, Annahstasia and Daniel Caesar. The tweet was then deleted hours later, to which KayCyy announced that an updated tracklist would be revealed on Monday.

The EP was eventually leaked on May 25, 2022. KayCyy responded about the leaks, saying quote:

Leaks don’t stop shit … 😈 I’m making a few special tweaks …

KayCyy would then go on Instagram to reveal the EP’s official tracklist on May 27, with all nine of tracks being the same, as he had previously teased.
